Windshield install

Ryan came over and we got a bunch done today.

I mounted a driver’s door handle inside so you can actually get out of it now.  A couple holes, a couple of bolts, and wham bam thank you mam’.  It’s not pretty but its just right for what we are doing.

I opened up the clutch master and resealed it. It seems better. Hard to say for sure.  If you pumped the pedal 4 or 5 times it would literally be covered in fluid.  It’s better now, good enough for chumpcar? Probably.  We have a spare just in case.

Ryan also busted out his new welding skills and got this tipple gauge mount (above the steering wheel).  Painted too.

We got a convex rear view mirror for better visibility.  It has a nice roll cage mount but due to the extreme slopiness of the windshield using it would put it too far back.  So we just welded the bar mounts right to roof.

Now that these two are done we can put the windshield in.  Ryan is… pleased with the progress so far.

We also started in on the roof.  We ended up breaking 4 drill bits.  We were doing something wrong.  We had to stop for the evening.  It’s close.  Ryan is going to come over tomorrow and we are going to finish this up.

More to come tomorrow!
